I love a good eyeshadow palette, but lately I’ve discovered that one way to simplify my makeup routine is to use a cream eyeshadow stick. My 53 year old skin also prefers cream products as opposed to powder formulas. As we age, our eyelids get crepey and applying eyeshadow can be very frustrating and time consuming. Cream eyeshadow sticks are so easy to swipe across the lid. You can do a one and done look (my favorite) or use two shades for more dimension.
Either way, you are going to love how easy these eyeshadow sticks are to use! I have a few favorites that I have tested over the past few months so let’s get into the specifics.
e.l.f. No Budge Shadow Sticks ($5)
The e.l.f. No Budge Shadow Stick come in matte and metallics. I generally prefer the matte shades for everyday wear, but I do have a couple of the metallic shades. These are quality products for only $5! As the name implies, they stay in place all day and blend out easily.
Ulta Longwear Matte Cream Eyeshadow ($10)
Ulta’s house brand is another favorite of mine. Their Longwear Matte Cream Eyeshadow comes in a tube with a doe foot applicator. It blends out easily and only requires a couple of dots of product on the eyelid. May favorite shades are Flower Power (pale pink) and Vintage Beauty (griege).
Tarte Quick Stick Shadow & Liner ($26)
The Quick Stick Waterproof Shadow & Liner is a two in one product. One end has an eyeshadow applicator and the other end has a coordinating eye liner. I have used the Mauve Luster/Black, Champaign Luster/Burgundy, and Rose Luster/Warm Brown.
You can purchase them individually for $26 or as a bundle of 3 for $36.
Bobbi Brown Mini Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick ($17)
This is another swipe and go option that I love tho wear. The mini in Golden Pink is so pretty and will last you a long time for $17. There is also a two-pack option for $25 in the color shades party prep (pink and lavender). Bobbi Brown is known for high quality, and these little gems are great for travel.
Let me know if you have tried any of these cream eyeshadow sticks…which ones are your favorites? Share in the comments so others can benefit from your recommendations.
