Have you ever stood in front of your closet, completely stumped on what to wear? Maybe you have an important event coming up, or just want to spice up your daily outfits. Whatever the reason, we’ve all been there. This post will provide you with 5 outfit ideas that are guaranteed to elevate your style game and make getting dressed a breeze. Say goodbye to outfit stress and hello to the perfect look.
1. Style Some Stripes
Stripes are a sophisticated way to give your outfit visual interest. This striped tube top is from Target. It has a built in bra and fits very securely. I wore my cakes nipple covers which I recommend to all my girlfriends. I’m actually wearing wide leg pants, not a skirt. Add a layering cardigan for more coverage and this outfit is complete!

Button down shirts are my favorite thing to wear these days, because I’m so drawn to the quiet luxury vibe. I just feel so put together and chic when I wear one. This brown and white stripe is a new purchase from Amazon haul. I paired it with some trouser shorts that I have enjoyed so many times this summer.

Here is one more outfit idea with stripes. I’m loving this striped shirt I picked up during Amazon Prime Days. The elastic cuff makes it more unique. I paired it with my drawstring wide leg jeans and ballet flats.
2. Long Sleeve Linen Shirt
While we are talking about shirts, if you are stumped and need an outfit idea, reach for a long sleeve linen shirt. These can be style with any bottoms – shorts, denim, dress pants, casual pants. Also long sleeve linen shirts are cool, comfortable and can be worn alone or as a layering piece.
I have added quite a few linen shirts to my wardrobe in 2025 and I don’t regret it. Here are some ways to style them.

The bright red one is a new purchase from J. Crew Factory. It was on sale so I’m not sure how many are left, but you can check it here. It also comes in pink and teal.

3. Neutral Linen Pants

Linen pants are another easy grab when you need to put together an outfit. I did an entire post on linen pants and you can see it here. My favorite pair from Amazon comes in several colors…I have the off white.
I also recently picked up some new linen pants from Aerie. They are on clearance now, so sizes are probably limited. I also love my Old Navy linen pants. Another place to try linen pants is Quince. I’m very interested in this brand, but haven’t tried them myself. I linked a couple of their linen pants in the shopping widget.
4. Little Black Dress
When you are struggling to find an outfit, a little black dress can solve the problem immediately. I recommend having one for each season of the year.

The Scoop Fit And Flare Sweater Dress is the perfect example of elegant style without the high price tag! This is a knit material that will transition nicely to fall. Click here to see all the colors and sizes. Go with your typical size. My leopard print flats can be found here.
5. Monochromatic Look

Choosing a monochromatic look is easy to put together plus it visually lengthens the body. Although an all black, navy, or white outfit will also be flattering, monochromatic outfits can also be in other colors. Sets work great for this style, but you can also pull pieces that are in your closet that aren’t necessarily sets.

Monochromatic outfits look elegant, and this is an opportunity to let your accessories do the talking. Pick one bold or interesting accessory, but don’t over do it with too many accessories which can look too fussy.

I hope these 5 outfit ideas will help you when you are stumped and don’t know what to wear. We all have those moments, so keep these ideas in mind. Share this post will your style loving friend, and don’t forget to subscribe to my email list so you never miss new content.
