As we enter the fall season, it’s time to trade in your vibrant summer nail polish shades for a more sophisticated and cozy look. Fall is the perfect time to experiment with new fall nail colors that will elevate your overall appearance and reflect the season’s changing beauty.
Nail polish is the second most popular beauty product after lipstick, and with new shades and trends emerging every season, the options are endless.
In this article, we will explore the top fall nail colors that will take your style to the next level. From warm and earthy tones to bold and daring hues, get ready to update your manicure game with these must-try shades.
The Hottest Fall Nail Colors For Fall 2024
Rich jewel tones will be trending for this year, particularly rich burgundy, deep purple, royal blue, and emerald green. Keep in mind that these bold colors really draw attention to your hands, so make sure you keep up with your manicures (either professional or at home).
I’m loving this new to me shade from OPI called Vamp Champ. It is part of the Infinite Shine collection and is a very deep purple/burgundy with a bit of shimmer to it.
If you like to do gel polish at home, this set has some beautiful fall nail colors. I have been using the Beetles Gel polishes and saving so much money by doing my own nails at home. You will need a UV light to cure these polishes like this one.
One of the prettiest deep blue shades I’ve ever come across is the Orly Midnight Oasis. It’s a bit hard to find, but I linked it from the Orly website. I found mine at T.J. Maxx. Here are some other deep shades that you might want to try.
Embracing Earthy Tones
Fall nail colors also include earthy tones like burnt orange, olive green, and shades of brown. These can add warmth to your look and are a refreshing change from summer colors that you may be bored of wearing.
OPI Expresso Your Inner Self is a nice mocha brown.
For a red/brown, you might enjoy Essie Bed, Rock, & Roll.
Greens can be tricky, but for an Olive Green try Meet Me At Midnight
I had to include one burnt orange shade and this one from OPI looks so pretty! It’s called Liquid Fire.
Fall Nail Colors With Shimmer & Sparkle
Metallic and glitter accents can elevate any fall nail look. You can take your regular polish to the next level with a glitter/shimmer top coat or add stick on accents.
Intentions Are Rose Gold – OPI Nature Strong: This is a new purchase of mine, and if you like a warm rose gold shimmer you will love this one!
Chrome Nails
Let’s talk about the chrome nails trend. Salons charge extra for this finish, but you can easily do this at home with chrome powder. This is an iridescent powder that you simply buff onto your nails. It’s similar to applying eyeshadow to your lids.
After you rub the powder on your nails, you simply apply a clear top coat and you have chrome nails! This jar from Amazon is on $5.99 and will last you a long time. I have personally used this product and love it.
Neutral Fall Nail Colors
Neutrals are always in style, and nothing is more elegant that a neutral colored manicure. The milky nail trend is going strong, but if you have never heard of this you might be wondering what it is?
Milk nails are a manicure style that gives nails a soft, translucent, milky-white sheen. The look is inspired by the natural color of milk and is a more sophisticated alternative to bolder nail colors.
This is a beautiful fall nail color and is a good alternative to those who prefer a more subdued look. This set from Amazon is quite stunning!
Here is another set in more fall tones…so pretty!
I hope you now have some fall nail colors that inspire you. Whether you DIY your manicures at home or visit a nail salon, these are the hottest colors and looks. Experiment with different colors that flatter your skin tone and don’t be afraid of a little sparkle!
