How to Create a Stylish Look with a Vest for Women

A trend you have probably already noticed is the vest and it is going strong for fall 2024. If you are feeling a bit unsure about this piece and how to wear it, today I’m sharing a few ways that you can style a vest for women for now and later in the fall season.

Vest & Trouser Shorts Two Piece Set

The most popular way I’ve seen the vest for women styled so far this year is with a pair of matching trouser shorts. This two piece set from Amazon is very affordable and is a good way to ease into this trend for late summer outfits.

I chose an all black set, but other colors are available under this link. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium and they fit with room to spare. I finished off the outfit with classic ballet flats.

Vest For Women & Dress Pants

When the weather gets cooler, or for the office, you could wear the black vest with a pair of black dress pants. Here, I switched out the shoes for a modest heel. If you don’t like to show your arms, then a dress shirt like this one underneath would look nice.

Vest With Jeans

One of the hottest colors for fall 2024 is burgundy, so I decided to try a burgundy vest! I love this rich color paired with a darker wash denim. This is another great piece to add to your wardrobe if the two piece set is a little more than you need.

Classic Striped Vest

Stripes never go out of style, but a classic beige and black stripe is spot on for fall 2024. This vest is a sweater knit with gold toned buttons. I’m wearing a medium. I paired it with the same black pants, but you could wear this style vest with any bottoms you choose.

Vest As Loungewear

Another way to try a vest this season is with a loungewear set. This one caught my eye, and is very comfortable (wearing size M). You could layer it with a cardigan for cooler weather. Click here to see other color options.
