Late Summer Refresh: Fashion, Beauty, and Home That You Will Love

August is almost here and even though our minds might shift towards fall, there is plenty of summer left! If you are in a bit of a slump and need a late summer refresh, today’s post is for you. I have rounded up a few of the fashion, beauty, and home items that I have enjoyed the most and I think you will love them too.

Late Summer Refresh For Your Home

I’m not ready to pull out my beloved fall home decor yet, but I did pick up a few new things to refresh my home decor recently. During Amazon Prime Days, I purchased two new area rugs. I have three dogs, so a machine washable rug is a must in my home.

The first one is an 8×10 in neutral tones. I’m so happy with it, and I know I will be able to decorate for any season with this style rug. It is quite soft even without a rug pad underneath and it stays in place. Below is a close up view.

Secondly, I picked up a new runner for the foyer in the 2×5 size. I have a lot of blue in my home, and the hint of orange gave me all the fall vibes in a subtle way.

For my bedroom, a new duvet cover and insert was just the late summer refresh I needed. The linen duvet is soft and cool for the blazing heat we experience in Georgia!

I chose a simple white comforter for the insert, and I will reuse it for seasons to come.

Beauty Favorites

I have two beauty products that really stand out since I have been using them. The first is the Physician’s Formula Butter Glow & Go Multiuse Stick. This has been a daily use product for me all summer and I highly recommend it. I have the shade Beachy Pink and the bronzer is the perfect shade for my skin without any orange undertones. The blush is a radiant peachy pink that gives a natural glow.

The next beauty find is the Tree Hut Overnight Lip Mask in the Vanilla. It is much more affordable than the Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask and I like it just as well if not better! At $8.94 on Amazon it’s worth a try to see how you like it.

Two skincare products that will stay in my beauty routine and can really refresh your look are the DRMTLGY Anti-Aging Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46 and the Kopari Sun Shield Body Glow SPF 30 shimmering gel.

The DRMTLGY Tinted Moisturizer can be worn alone for a no makeup look or under foundation. I have been wearing this every day this summer and most of the time alone with no foundation needed. You will want to repurchase this after you see how good it looks on the skin!

The Kopari Sun Shield Body Glow smells amazing and every time I wear it, I get compliments. It’s great for shorter times in the sun like taking walks and running errands. Plus it gives your skin the prettiest glow.

Late Summer Fashion Refresh

For lounging and comfort, this romper/athletic dress is the perfect piece for a hot summer day. This comes in many colors and has shorts built in underneath.

It is low cut in the front, so I usually wear a tank underneath.

Here is a summer to fall outfit idea that you could wear for many different occasions. Trouser shorts elevate any outfit, and paired with a button down blouse and the elegance goes up even more. Pair this with my favorite East West handbag and some brown sandals.

For accessories, I had to include these triple huggie illusion studs earrings. It gives the look of multiple piercing and I get compliments every time I wear these! I purchased the silver, but you can also choose gold metal tones and different styles.

The J. Crew Factory Crewneck Beach Sweater is another one of my most worn items. In fact, I have it in three colors! The perfect light weight sweater for layering or wearing on it’s own. Currently it is on sale at J.Crew Factory. It does run oversized on it’s own so go with your true size or size down depending on how you want it to fit. I’m wearing a size small.
