I’m always trying new makeup products for mature skin, and I have a new foundation to share with you today. I enjoy trying new products in all price ranges, but I get the most excited when I find a drugstore product that gives me a beautiful result at an affordable price! Foundation makeup does not have to cost a fortune and this post will show you a reformulated option that will thrill you!
If you are a connoisseur of drugstore foundation makeup, you probably are already familiar with the L’oreal True Match Foundation. Well, it has gotten an upgrade and is generating a lot of attention in the beauty world. I had tried the original True Match in the past and liked it. You may remember it looked like this…
The new L’oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation got new packaging, and now has a pump dispenser. Yay! The pump makes it easier to apply and eliminates waste.
The new foundation makeup formula offers 47 shades that now use a shade name system. The letters C, W, and N stand for cool, warm, and neutral. I am wearing the shade C3.
As for the formula itself, it still gives a satin, natural looking medium coverage. The difference is that now it’s also vegan, alcohol-free, oil-free and fragrance-free. It is a thin consistency which I personally prefer for my mature skin and blends seemlessly as the name implies.
How Does It Perform?
Here is my bare skin. You can see that I have redness, broken capillaries around my nose, and large pores and texture that I like to conceal. I applied it heavier to those areas in the center of my face and then blended it out a littler thinner on the permimeter. I think the coverage was adequate without giving me a heavy makeup look. It has good staying power for my typical 8 hour day.
…and here is my skin in natural light with my full face of makeup.
Final Thoughts
I think this is a wonderful foundation makeup for mature skin; however, I would place it in the number two spot beneath my beloved L’oreal True Match Nude. The True Match Nude is slightly more hydrating and which gives me a nicer finish.
You can see my full review of the True Match Nude in this post. I prefer this foundation over any high end or drugstore foundation!
As for the reformulated L’oreal True Match, I will repurchase it and I think many of you will like it. The plentiful shade range and light blendable formula is a great option for mature skin at a price point you will love.

Colour Pop Going Coconuts Eyeshadow Palette
This eyeshadow palette is a nice mix of cool and warm toned neutrals as well as mattes and shimmers. I used the darkest brown in the palette as an eyeliner.
Thanks for joining me today! If you have tried the newly formulated L’oreal True Match let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
