What To Buy At The Sephora Sale

The Sephora savings event has begun and runs through 11/11. If you are a regular here, you know that I don’t wear a lot of high end makeup; however, there are several items worth taking a look at in the Sephora sale. This post will highlight my personal favorite Sephora products and some things that I would like to try.

The Sephora sale is a tiered sale and as I always say, I don’t love this concept. The levels are determined by how much you spend annually at Sephora. I’m just a little “insider” but it is free to join and you do get some perks.

The main reason I highlight the Sephora sale is for the Sephora house brand products. They are 30% off for all level members and there are some products I do recommend from this line. You can sign up here and get your insider membership today!

Sephora House Brand Recommendations

My first Sephora Collection recommendation are the Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner Pencils. These rival higher end products and apply so smoothly to less than perfect eyelids. They come in so many colors.

I personally like Shimmer Taupe, Shimmer Navy, Matte Moss, and Matte Deep Plum.

Sephora Best Skin Ever Foundation: A medium-coverage, natural-finish foundation with a long-wearing, anti-pollution formula that hydrates skin for up to 12 hours and is infused with skincare benefits. Available in wide shade range.

My Wish List:

The Sephora sale is a great time to pick up something you may have been eyeing for a while. Here are some things I might be adding to my cart and some items that would be thoughtful Christmas gifts!

Saie Slip Tint: My mature skin looks younger when I use a lightweight tinted moisturizer as opposed to a heavy foundation. I really would like to try this product and do a review for you. It’s available in 14 shades and contains an SPF 35.

Fenty Gloss Bomb Stix: A glossy, medium-pigment lipstick with luscious shine and a big dose of vitamin E and shea butter to lock in moisture for up to eight hours. The color Fu$$y looks very pretty.

I’m not buying any more eyeshadow palettes currently (I have too many), but if I were these two look stunning! The Makeup by Mario Master Mattes The Neutrals Palette and Etherial Moonlight palette.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush: I have several of these and love them all…I would like to add the shade “Hope” to my collection.

Gift Ideas

Now is a great time to take advantage of the Sephora Sale for gifts for the special girls on your list! Every woman in my family would love any of these.

Precious Pouts Lip Set:  A 9 piece set of lip glosses and liners – includes bestsellers from brands like Rare, Fenty, and Huda Beauty. $54/$152 value

Cozy and Clean Makeup and Skincare Set : A ten-piece set of Clean at Sephora beauty picks to sparkle for the holidays- including bestsellers from brands like Saie, Summer Fridays and Kosas. $64/$192 Value

Sephora Sale Favorites

Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation SPF 45: I have used this foundation for years and it is on my list of top foundations for mature skin. To see that post, click here.

These are my tried and true Sephora favorites that I would recommend. Makeup rarely goes on sale so even 15% is at least some savings on these products that I don’t mind spending a little extra for.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Mini Set: This iconic shade is a go-to of mine. There are dupes out there, but this is a good deal for the real thing. You get a mini lipstick and lip liner for $25.

Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Full Coverage Concealer: Concealer that doesn’t settle into lines and wrinkles is hard to find. This is my all time favorite concealer that isn’t too thick and blends beautifully.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm: I have tried many less expensive makeup removing balms, and none of them works as well as the Clinique. I will never be without this product!

Laneige Lip Products: These are nothing new, yet I still love them and use them every single day.

Recommendations For Younger Women

I asked my daughter to pick some of her favorite Sephora Sale Event products. She is 22, so if you have some younger women on your holiday list, consider some of these. These are her picks and comments.

Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight:
I have only sampled this and do not own it, but it goes on so smoothly and gives the skin a gorgeous glow. A little bit goes a long way, so consider opting for the mini size to save some $$ if they are still in stock. I have fair skin, so I chose the lightest shade (Enlighten)”

Summer Fridays Sweet Mint Lip Butter Balm:
I absolutely love a minty lip gloss in the winter because it leaves my lips feeling clean and refreshed. This is on my Christmas list this year! Another great alternative is the Laneige Candy Cane lip balm.

Living Proof Full Dry Volume and Texture Spray

This is one of my go to products for adding volume to my hair and is great when used with dry shampoo on no wash days. I hold my head upside down, spray my roots, and let it dry for a few seconds for a full, refreshed look. I haven’t found another product that works as well as this one.

Clinique Moisture Surge 100H Hydrator

The best moisturizer I have ever used, and I’ve tried a lot! It is the perfect blend between a cream moisturizer and a gel. Absorbs perfectly into the skin and doesn’t feel like it leaves a residue.
