It’s that time of year where you may be getting tired of you winter wardrobe. Here are 6 casual outfits that will inspire you to put something together from your closet, or you can pick up a few new pieces that you catch you eye. The best part is that these casual outfits are budget friendly and are new arrivals from Walmart!
I placed a large Walmart order last week, and I finally got through taking all the photos. I’m breaking it down into two separate posts so it won’t be so long and overwhelming. Today we are focusing on the casual outfits I put together, and the next post will be the amazing Walmart dresses I found!
Free Assembly Wide Leg Jeans
Let’s start with these wide leg jeans from Free Assembly. They have a raw hem and a very relaxed look. The denim is a medium wash with a slightly cropped length. These are already starting to sell out quickly and at $26 I can see why.
They run true to size and I enjoyed styling them with several different tops. Since they are a wide leg cropped style, you will want a top that is not too oversized to keep the proportions even.
Outfit #1: Wide Leg Jeans + Striped Sweater
Next is the perfect sweater to transition you from winter to spring. It is thick enough for warmth, yet has a spring vibe to it. Free Assembly is an online brand from Walmart, and this sweater has already sold out in all four colors. I do think they will restock it, so keep checking this link. That’s the only thing about Walmart, things sell out quickly.
It does run a bit big, I’m wearing an XS (they did not have a small) and it fits nicely with the wide leg jeans.
Outfit #2: Wide Leg Jeans + Crew Neck Sweater
Another sweater that you can wear well into spring is this lighter weight crew neck by Free Assembly. It comes in several colors, and I’m loving this bright pink. It tucks easily into your pants if you want to wear it that way, or you can leave it untucked.
I’m wearing a size small for reference. You could also size up for a more roomy, oversized fit.
Outfit #3: Cardigan Sweater + Wide Leg Jeans
The refined style cardigan is still going strong for 2025, and I’m loving this version also from Free Assembly. I sure wish my local Walmart carried these brands in store! It’s currently on sale for $19.99 and comes in several colors. I’m winter winter white these days, and I’m wearing a size small.
Order this piece today as I suspect it will sell out quickly! There are 10 different colors/patterns.
Outfit #4: Casual Chic With Blazer & Jeans
Scoop is really nailing it with their blazers recently! Instead of classic black, I wanted to try a lighter neutral for the spring season. This is the Scoop Women’s Ultimate Crepe Scrunch Sleeve blazer in the shade Amphora which is a light tan.
No need to mess with rolling up your sleeves and fussing with them, as this style already has been stitched into place with scrunced sleeves. This is a relaxed fit blazer that can be worn dressed up or casual.
This might be my personal favorite piece from this post. I’m also wearing my favorite Time And Tru Straight Leg jeans, a simple black short sleeve sweater, and ballet flats. Even if you don’t need this blazer, keep this outfit formula in mind as it comes in handy for so many occasions!
Outfit #5: Funnel Neck Sweatshirt & Cropped Lounge Pants
Casual outfits are the backbone of my wardrobe. If you were to see me around town or working at home, I bet I would be wearing something like this. It just doesn’t get any better than a buttery soft lounge set that also makes you feel put together! Scoop’s scuba knit is known for it’s similar feel to high end brands that cost over $100 each.
This set is purchased separately, which is nice if you need a different size top or bottom. I would like to have this set in every color, but for now I decided on the light grey. I’m wearing a size small in the top and bottom and it still gives a roomy fit.
Casual Outfit Idea #6: Waffle Hoodie + Leggings
Keeping is very casual with this outfit which centers around the Time And Tru Waffle Hoodie in the shade Lemon Ice. I love to start incorporating shades of yellow in my wardrobe for spring. I know yellow does not suit everyone’s skin tone, but this also comes in coral, oatmeal, and blue.
My flared leggings are from Amazon, and this pair I wear quite often. My favorite flared leggings are the Aerie Cross Over Leggings.
I hope you enjoyed these casual outfit ideas. I can’t wait to show you the amazing dresses that I found from Walmart…that will be the next blog post. The best way to get new content is to sign up for my email list and all new posts will be delivered to your email.
