How to Effortlessly Style Your Linen Pants for Any Occasion

Linen pants are a must-have for your summer wardrobe. The fabric is perfect for the hot weather, and the look is classic and elegant. Wide leg linen pants are the way to go for the trending styles and comfort. Let’s take a look at some ways to style these versatile pants for any occasion.

Linen pants come in so many colors that it’s really personal preference; however to maximize the styling options I would recommend neutrals. Today I’m styling black and cream linen pants.

Black Pants

Earlier this spring, I purchased these black linen pants from Old Navy. I also got the black linen shorts and the black linen button down shirt. These three pieces can really be a great base for your summer wardrobe.

Styling linen pants for different occasions is so easy because you can wear them with just about any type of top. For a casual look, try a simple tank top and some sandals. Use the oversized linen top as a completer piece worn open.

For a dressier more chic look, try pairing your linen pants with a suit style vest. My vest is from Amazon, and I love wearing it with pants and jeans. You can find the vest here.

Linen shorts can also be a wardrobe essential. Here are the black linen shorts from Old Navy with a crochet sweater and the button down linen shirt.

Neutral Toned Pants

Perhaps the most versatile linen pants are the beige or off-white color. They have a little more casual vibe, and look perfect with summer tops. These can go from beach wear to dinner appropriate just by changing out the top and shoes!

This pair of linen blend pants is from Amazon. They have a nice wide leg with a drawstring waist. I’m wearing a size small and they come in several colors.

Here are two looks: one with a loose fitting tee, and another with a fitted tee. The v-neck style on the left is from Aerie and runs very oversized. I’m wearing an XS and it’s still quite roomy. The fitted top on the right is a size small from Target. I have several of these ribbed style tees and they are great worn alone or as a layering piece.

This outfit idea is simply an olive green tank layered with a crochet sweater and wide leg linen blend pants. My crochet sweater is from Aerie, but sold out. I linked a similar style.

This last outfit combines the crochet trend with buttery yellow. This color is everywhere for summer 2025! Even better the top is currently on sale. This outfit covers your skin, yet still allows you to stay cool in the summer heat.
