At a certain age, reading glasses become a necessity for most of us. You know the frustration of trying to read a text or find the right buttons on the microwave only to surrender in frustration as you stop to go find your glasses. Now at 53, I need my reading glasses for just about everything I do, which means I need several pair of them….like in every room of the house.
If I’m going to need readers, then I might as well do it in style and that’s why I want to share my favorite reading glasses with you. This is not a sponsored post, and Peepers is not compensating me…in fact they do not have a clue who I am, but these are my preferred brand of reading glasses.
You can find them in many boutiques, on Amazon, and at Peepers.com. They offer readers, blue light glasses, progressives, and sunglasses. Peepers.com offers free shipping on orders over $42, so if you don’t have an Amazon Prime account you might prefer to order directly from Peepers.
Choosing The Best Style Reading Glasses
When choosing a style, the peepers.com website has some helpful tools. You can answer a few questions and they will recommend styles for you and they also have a virtual try on feature. You can choose from very conservative styles to bold colors and sharp angles.
Peepers.com has a 90 day return policy. You can read it here.
My Favorite Peepers Reading Glasses
I have a small face, so I have a hard time finding frames that flatter me. I have several styles and I like them all. For readers, I have the Nature Walk (purchased on Amazon), the Rosemary, and the Bronco. I also have a pair of progressives in the Wren Style.
My least favorite are the progressives. There is no distance correction (as I expected), and the magnified area of the lens in just a little too small in my opinion. That said, they are a nice option if you get tired of taking your glasses on and off. They are not as good as prescription progressive lenses, but they are also a lot less expensive. All in all, worth a try in my opinion and they are nice to have as a backup to my prescription glasses.
If you need reading glasses, then I think you will enjoy Peepers as opposed to readers that you buy at the drugstore. They are more flattering on the face, and they have held up for me over time. What are your favorite reading glasses? Share in the comments below!
