I don’t love to cook. In fact, it’s my least favorite household responsibility. One reason I love my slow cooker is that I can prepare dinner early in the day, and just walk away. It’s almost as good as having someone else cook for you! Then I don’t have to think about dinner for the rest of the day. You may think that slow cooker meals are more a fall and winter thing, but using your slow cooker in the summer has some benefits. The main benefit is that you don’t have to heat up your kitchen with the oven or stove on a hot summer day. Another benefit is that clean up is easier. Today I want to share one of my favorite go-to recipes – slow cooker lasagna!
I originally found this recipe several years ago in the Kraft Food & Family magazine. I tore the page out and have kept it ever since. This recipe is easy, uses only a few ingredients, and tastes delicious! That’s a win in my opinion.

Step By Step Slow Cooker Lasagna
Use any jar spaghetti sauce that you like. I have recently tried the Pioneer Woman spaghetti sauce and it is the best jarred sauce I have tried. It comes in several varieties. I like them all, but the Rustic Bolognese is my favorite! I linked it in the shopping widget if you would like to try it.
I hope this slow cooker lasagna will help you out this summer when you are wondering “What’s For Dinner”. I think it will become a family favorite at your home!
If you are needing a new slow cooker, I found these adorable ones by Pioneer Woman at Walmart. I purchased the green floral for myself. Every girl needs a pretty slow cooker! I also included a few other Pioneer Woman things that are worth checking out. This is not a sponsored post, I just thought these were so pretty!

This recipe looks amazing. Is that a bag inside of your slow cooker for easier cleanup? I’ve never seen those before.

Yes, I use the Reynolds slow cooker liners. They can be found with the aluminum foil and plastic wrap at the grocery store. They make clean up so easy!

What size slow cooker did you use?
The Scarlet Lily
I’m guessing it is a 6 quart size. It’s the traditional large size.

Thanks!
