The Perfect Top For Now & Later

Who’s happy to see September? I know many of you summer lovers may be a little sad to see summer coming to an end, but us fall fanatics can smell the pumpkins already! As the weather slowly transitions, it can be hard to figure out what to wear. Today I have the perfect top for now & later from Nordstrom Rack.

Layering has always been in style, and I love these pieces that give you a layered look without all the fuss! Meet the mixed media pullover by Belldini. I recently stopped by my local Nordstrom Rack to see what I could find, and this top caught my eye.

This piece has several interesting details, including a ruffled neck and cuffs, and pearl details on the sides. It gives the look of a black sweater vest over a white blouse, but it is all one piece. Another thing I love about this top is that it is very lightweight, so it will be perfect for warmer fall days.

It is generously sized, and I’m wearing a medium. I often wear a size large in tops, so I would size down if in between sizes.

Outfit #1

I styled this top a couple of different ways. First, I paired it with leggings and black mules. This combination would be a great workwear look since the top is plenty long enough to cover the backside. You could switch out the leggings for a straight leg black pant.

I have mentioned these leggings many times, and they are the Red Hot by Spanx available at Kohl’s. My black mules are old, but I will link a similar style.

Outfit #2

Everyone’s talking about straight leg jeans, and I do agree that they are more on trend this year; however, this is an example of why I would not recommend getting rid of your skinny jeans. I like the silhouette that is created here with the long top and a skinny jean. You could possibly try this top with a straight leg jean, but I think it could look frumpy.

I switched out the mules for a quilted capped toe ballet flat by Time And Tru. My black handbag is from last year, so I linked some similar styles. The quilted handbag coordinates with the quilted detail of the shoes.

If you like classic style with a twist, then I think you would really enjoy this top. It’s very affordable and currently is stocked in all sizes. Don’t wait too long though! I expect it will sell out quickly. It really is the perfect top for now & later.
