Spring is in the air, and with it comes, warmer weather, and a desire to refresh our wardrobes. However, for many of us, the thought of revamping our closets for the new season can be daunting, especially if we are on a tight budget. But fear not! Stores vary from region to region as to what brands they carry in-store, so your best bet it so shop online for variety and size availability.
Another tip for shopping at Walmart is to know the brands and how they fit. Don’t worry if you don’t know these things…I will fill you in as we go. Keep reading for my favorite brands, and the sizing recommendations for these spring outfits.
Spring Outfits: Dresses
I have two dresses to highlight from Walmart that would all make perfect spring outfits! One is from Time And Tru, and the other is by Scoop. Time And Tru is one of my favorite Walmart brands. It runs generously true to size and is made to fit a mature woman’s body. In general, I wear a medium in Time And Tru dresses. My numeric size is 8/10.
Time And Tru Knit Midi Dress
Spring outfits are all about lighter fabrics and of course comfort! Nothing is easier to wear than a flattering knit midi dress with a tie waist. They can be worn casual with sneakers/sandals or dressed up with heels. I haven’t started self tanning yet, so I think both of these dresses would look better if I had some color to my legs.
This fabric is buttery soft and the long sleeves will help you transition into spring on cool days. I’m wearing the color dusty rose mix, and it comes in 3 other colors. Click here to see all the options.
Striped Mini Sweater Dress
The second dress is by Scoop – another favorite that you can shop for online at Walmart. This dress is a sweater knit, but definitely for warmer weather. This is a flattering fit and flare style, but I will warn you it is quite short. I am 5’7″ and will need to wear some biker shorts underneath the dress to feel confident.

Spring Outfits: Lounge & P.J. ‘s
Spring outfits include lounge and pajamas in my opinion! Walmart’s Joyspun line has some of the best lounge and pajamas available. I recently picked up a few new sets for spring.
Notch Collar Shirt & Pants Set
It would be hard to find a nicer quality pajama set that is priced at under $20! This pink and black color way is very spring inspired. For size reference, all these pieces are a medium.
Short Sleeve Sleep Shirt
Cherries are trending for 2024, and I think they are so adorable. If a sleep shirt is more your preference, these are so comfortable and very affordable at only $7.98. They do run big…I’m wearing the S/M.
Cami & Shorts Set
I also picked up this cherry print cami and shorts set for only $12.98! Click here for all the other colors/prints. Mine was in the laundry so I just inserted a Walmart photo instead.
Knit Robe
All of these pajamas would go perfectly with this soft knit robe. It’s another bargain at only $12.98. I picked black, but there are other colors as well!
Spring Outfits: Tops & Bottoms
Sophia Vergara Flared Jeans
Spring outfits must include denim, and one of the best denim brands at Walmart is the Sophia Vergara line. If you want a pair of knock out flares that will give you legs for days, then the Melissa Flare High Rise is a must-have! I’m wearing a size 10 and I do think these run a little small.
Time And Tru Smoothing Bodysuit
I’m not always a fan of bodysuits because they are hard to get in and out of; however, when I saw this one I had to give it a try! The fabric is high quality and gave me Spanx vibes. I love the high neckline and this is a great layering piece.
I’m linking a two pack, which is the only way they are sold online. I did find mine in-store and purchased it as a single piece. As for the fit, I went with a medium 8/10 and it worked well even for my long torso.
Side Ruched Jersey Knit Top
Spring outfits are easy to create with a classic black and white stripe shirt. This one by Time And Tru has the added detail of some ruching on the side. You may have seen me wearing this in this post. I’m also wearing this in a medium and it comes in other colors.
Scuba Knit Blazer by Scoop
Blazers are always in style and this Scuba Knit Blazer by Scoop is a top seller at Walmart. This lavender shade is perfect for spring or choose one of the many other colors! I’m wearing a large in this one, but might could have worn the medium.

No Boundaries Seamless Tee
No Boundaries is Walmart’s junior size brand. This is where women in my over 50 age bracket need to be careful. The quality of this brand is not near as good as the others that I have mentioned, so choose wisely. Also I always size up 1-2 sizes for a better fit in this brand.
That being said, there are some pieces worth adding to your spring outfits and these V-neck tees are a good example. The fabric is thick making it seem like better quality and they are perfect for layering. I sized up to an XL both in the light blue and green.
Wide Leg Corduroy Cargo Pants
Cargo pants are having a major moment in the spotlight. While I don’t love them for by body type as much as other styles, I have incorporated them into my casual spring wardrobe. I like that this pair by Time And Tru only have one large utility pocket, making them less busy. I’m wearing a size 10.
You will want to style cargo pants with a more fitted top, so these tees from Walmart are a good example of how to create an affordable spring outfit! These Time And Tru sneakers have been a favorite of mine for several months and are still available.
