Weekly Walmart Finds: Vol. 8

Welcome to another weekly Walmart finds! I have several pieces to show you today, and many of the new spring styles are starting to make an appearance, which is always exciting!

Time And Tru Smocked Dress

Here is a spring inspired dress by Time And Tru that I’m in love with! It comes in several colors as well as a pink/white gingham and a navy/white gingham. I had a hard time deciding, but I went with the classic black since I already own a white eyelet dress from last year.

It runs true to size and I’m wearing a medium.

Utility Shirt Dress

Next is this utility shirt dress in the midwash denim. It also comes in three other colors/patterns. I shirt dress is a good piece to have and this one is especially flattering with the tie waist. I also like that it has plenty of length in the back. I’m wearing my usual size medium.

Here I styled it with tall boots, but this piece can easily transition to spring and summer by changing the shoes to flats or sandals.

Bow Thong Sandal

If you have a warm weather getaway planned, these bow thong sandals would be perfect! They are only $12.98 and come in five colors. The sizes are picked over, but they did have this pretty blue color in my size. Click on the link to see what colors are available in your size.

Long Sleeve Hacci Dress

I was a little unsure of this dress when I ordered it because sometimes this style midi dress can be unflattering on my body type. Plus, it has horizontal stripes which can sometimes be a problem. Once I tried it on, I was pleasantly surprised . It has a flattering fit and a nice boatneck style that is very comfortable.

I kept on the same black heeled sandals, but you could easily dress this piece down with flats or even sneakers. The long sleeves make it a good spring weather dress. It also comes in a white/beige stripe.

Short Sleeve Textured Top

The next weekly Walmart favorite is this cute textured top by Time and Tru. It has an elbow length sleeve that I love for spring, and a clip dot texture woven into the fabric. The peplum style gives a feminine and flattering fit.

I tend to gravitate toward black, but this top also comes in a solid pink and two striped combinations. It’s a bargain at only $14.98!

My braided sandals are a new purchase from Amazon. This is a trend that will stay with us for 2022 and I just love the neutral shade of these! This pair by Time and Tru are a similar style but are more flat. They are currently sold out, but I’m keeping my eye on them for a restock!

Nature Sandal With Bow Detail

Looking for an athletic type sandal that still looks cute? Then these nature sandals by Time and Tru are the shoes for you! I spotted these at my local Walmart and they appear to only be available in stores. I have linked them so you can see them better, but currently they are not available for online orders.

These have an adjustable ankle strap with a cute bow detail in the back. These would be perfect for any vacation plans you have coming up this spring or summer!

Pointelle Sleeve Sweater

These pointelle sweaters by Sophia Vergara are another good option for transitioning to spring. These are a very thin knit with beautiful sleeve details. There is also a small ruffle on the shoulder. These are currently on sale for only $8 and come in several colors.

I picked up the cream and purple in a size medium.

Sleeveless Knit Dress

This sleevless knit dress by Time and Tru is a wardrobe staple. They have a version of this dress every year, and they are an essential piece in my opinion. I realized as I was writing this post that I have a lot of black this time. That was not intentional…in fact, I really wanted this dress in the blush/white stripe, but they didn’t have it in my size.

Speaking of size, I would recommend sizing down in this dress. It is sized generously and with the swing style it could potentially look a bit frumpy if it were too big or too long. I sized down from my normal size medium to a small and I liked the fit.

My only criticism is the pocket placement. Normally I like dresses with pockets, but the placement of the pockets seemed to add some visual weight to my hips. If you have large hips and don’t want to draw attention to this area, I would pass on this particular style.

As an alternative, I prefer this style by Free Assembly. I think it has a more flattering fit for my body type.
