Can Women Over 50 Shop At Aerie?
Aerie is a sister company to American Eagle, which is a retailer that targets a younger demographic. I never want to look like a 50-something woman trying to dress like a 20-something, and I am careful when shopping junior brands or young women’s styles. However, in the case of Aerie the answer is an overwhelming YES! Women over 50 can absolutely shop at Aerie…and with confidence.
My personal wardrobe is very casual as I work from home. I can honestly tell you that over half of my everyday wardrobe is from Aerie, and these clothes make me feel good every time I wear them. I look forward to getting dressed every morning with these pieces, and what more can you ask for than something that is 100% comfort and style at the same time?

Sizing:
Aerie leggings are true to size and generously cut. Where I might generally size up in junior sizes, I wear my normal size in Aerie leggings, which is a medium. Many of their styles are meant to be oversized, so I will actually size down to a small like in the striped sweater in the photo above. I have also found the sizing in the leggings to be consistent no matter which style you choose.

Traditional Leggings
There are many styles of leggings to choose from at Aerie. For athletic wear, I prefer a more traditional legging. Some have more compression and others are more relaxed. My personal favorites are:
The Crossover leggings has the least compression, and they are my favorite wear around the house leggings. The other three styles above are what I personally wear for Pickleball or walking.
Flared Leggings
Flared leggings are so on trend, and they are so flattering! These are my personal favorites from Aerie, and I think I have them in almost every color! The Crossover Flare legging is perfection in my opinion, and they can be styled so many ways! I wore them all winter with my Ugg Mini boots, and now I wear them with sneakers and slides as the weather is warming up.
My most recent pair is this dark blue color and I paired them with this white rugby polo. The leggings are a medium and the top is a size small.
